STEP 1: Start a Conversation
Tell us a bit about your child and your goals, and we’ll match you with a ZMC Certified instructor in your area. This is also where we talk through your options together — including which trial path makes the most sense for your family.
STEP 2: Begin Your Trial
We offer two ways to get started: a free trial lesson, or a $99 4-week trial period (the option most families choose, since a few weeks gives a much clearer picture of fit than a single lesson). We’ll help you decide which makes sense based on your child and your goals — no pressure either way.
STEP 3: Get Safe & Seen
This is where it begins: your child meets their instructor and starts building real trust. We know new relationships can feel nerve-wracking, especially for a shy or hesitant kid — so we intentionally lower the pressure here. Lessons blend structure with genuine fun, so your child stays motivated instead of bored or overwhelmed.

STEP 4: Build the Bond, Learn the Language
As trust grows, so does the work. Your child starts learning to actually read and understand music — not just copy what they hear. This is where the relationship with their instructor deepens, and where real musical foundation gets built.

STEP 5: Grow On Stage
Twice a year, students perform at a Zera recital (June & December). It might be hard to picture your child up there right now — but this is where real courage and poise get built, in front of a warm, supportive room.

STEP 6: Watch the Transformation Unfold
Week in, week out, something starts to shift. Practice stops being a fight. Your child starts speaking up, trying harder things, owning their own progress. This is the long-term result every other step has been building toward — a confident, self-driven learner, in music and in life.
